I just love Carolyn’s work, this piece entitled “Symphony” is just amazing. Just love how the colors bounce off each other.

This triptych consists of two 30×20 inch canvases, one on each side of a 30×40 inch gallery wrap canvas. Though the total size is 30×80, when hung with an inch or more between the canvases the total width is 82 to 86 inches.

The quiet play of restrained color notes of mauve, lavender and green against a demure backdrop create a sophisticated atmosphere in this large triptych canvas print.

Our charming (translation small and closet-less) craftsman style home is just two blocks from the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. I studied Fine Art at College and spent many years as a graphic designer/art director/illustrator, working in advertising and winning a few Addy Awards. I always intended to explore painting “one of these days”. After experiencing the wrath of Hurricane Katrina first-hand I began to wonder why I was waiting. ”

I’m totally amazed by the concept of abstract art, take this piece for example “Geode”, when I look at the image I see what she is saying by the title. “Restrained neutral tones are animated by the contrasts of dark and light value in “Geode”.
