Featured Artist Cindy of Tree Craft Diary

“A fusion of fashion and nature” is the way that Cindy describes her amazing creations. Each handcrafted piece is made with a goal of emphasizing the natural characteristics of the stones while still keeping on trend with the fashion world. Not an easy task, but one that this talented designer gladly takes on.

Cindy was born in Jakarta-Indonesia and graduated in Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia where she majored in industrial design.  She worked for a time in Singapore before moving back to her hometown to dedicate herself to her art.

From the time she was a young girl, Cindy loved to craft and design; mixing and matching different materials to create something new that brought her happiness!  What a wonderful way to view your creations!  She currently uses natural gemstones combined in such a way that her work is deceptively simple, but when one takes a closer work can see the artistry in each piece.

Cindy began selling her work when it was still a part time hobby.  She created at night after her day job and researched various venues to show her jewelry.  After spending countless evenings and weekends on her handmade art she decided to follow her passion and left her full time job to pursue art full time and Tree Craft Diary was born.  While Cindy loves working from home, she admits that it has been a struggle to learn how to promote her work to the world.  She has had to learn how to market and recognize her target audience and the figure out how to get them to see her jewelry!

While it is a learning process, Cindy still would encourage others to pursue their own handmade dreams if that is there passion.  She says that you never know how high you can climb if you don’t ever jump in and start.  She understands the creative mind and warns others not to let ideas wandering around inside your head die but take action and you will be amazed by the results.
