MulchandMore's Profile
Bio |
I've been a crafter for most of my life. I'm enjoying the opportunity that the internet is giving us to share our creations with the world. I learned to knit from my father, whose grade school teacher had the class knitting scarves for WWI soldiers! I learned flax(linen) spinning from my Mom before I started my first job of demonstrating spinning and weaving in a museum. A few years down the line and I transitioned to spinning mohair and then wool but the early lessons of controlling the amount of twist and maintaining a consistent gauge have remained while trying different fibers. The main theme of all my crafting endeavors has remained, I love playing with colors and creating things that I would use myself. I still have other things/techniques/mediums that I want to try, time permitting. In addition to a part-time job, we also do quite a few craft shows in Northern Michigan. I am a wife, mother and grandmother. As life continues I am busier than ever. Female, Born on |
