Bio

What I design: I have been making various styles of jewelry and crafts since 1996, and I have knowledge in many different jewelry and crafting techniques. I started out with Native American seed and loom beading, then went into textile crafting (quilting, knitting, cross-stitch). I started wire wrapping in 2006 and haven't looked back! I currently offer jewelry for weddings, proms, special events, work wardrobes and everyday wear. These include necklaces, bracelets, earrings, tiaras, hair combs, glasses lariats, and other decorative accessories. I also on occasion make knitted and crocheted items, such as amigurumi dolls, winter accessories and other household accessories. ~~~~~~<@>~~~~~~ Why I do what I do: Magnolia Road Designs was created in 2010 as a way to relax and put some money back for my son for college. He is currently just about to start high school. He is always on the honor roll, and recently represented his school district in the county spelling bee! He is so bright and intelligent, and I want to make sure he can achieve his dreams. ~~~~~~<@>~~~~~~ Why Magnolia Road?: For 16 years on Magnolia Road, I had many great memories. I went with this name because it would be a great honor to have my designs play a role (even in the smallest way) in my customer's lives. To know that one of my necklaces is loved and used every day, or a pair of earrings was worn to a special event, makes me passionate about creating more happiness, like what I experienced on Magnolia Road. ~~~~~~<@>~~~~~~ My Success: I have had a lot of success with competitions. One of the biggest I have done is the Fire Mountain Gems and Beads contest, which feature winners in national magazines and websites.
