| Kalalani's Creations This is my story I was taught to crochet by my Hungarian grandmother over 20 years ago. But stopped crocheting for a long while until recently. I started to crochet again after a serious injury left me unable to work or do anything else while I healed. My life consisted of getting up out of bed. Sitting in a straight backed chair all day until it was time to go to bed again at night. I was going crazy! Not being able to do anything all day. So my mother went to the craft store and bought me some crochet thread and some how to books and I began to experiment..... These shawls, wraps and ponchos were the result. I affectionately call them my "sanity shawls" because creating them is what kept me sane for 10 months while I healed. Now I'm happy to report that I am about 90% recovered. Now I would like to offer these shawls, ponchos and wraps to you. A lot of time, effort and love went into the creation of each one. I hope you will them as much as I enjoyed making them.
