| My name is Marilyn Kelley. I’m a mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, friend, artist, quilter and all around crafter. I have made Fort Wayne my home for the last 30 years. My mom was an artist and I always loved playing around with her paints when I was a kid, but never really took it seriously until I was in my 50’s. I paint in watercolors, acrylics, porcelain art and love mixed media, About 3 years ago, I started my venture into quilting. Although I love piecing quilts and still do baby and lap quilts, my focus is on wholecloth painted art quilts. It combines the best of art and quilting! All quilters have their favorite parts of quilting and their not-so-favorite parts. I absolutely love doing the binding and I really enjoy free motion quilting. Now that I’m retired, my biggest challenge every day is to decide whether to paint or sew. Yes, it’s a charmed life I lead!
