| Welcome to Leather Braiding by John or LBbyJ. I custom hand make all the pieces presented here of kangaroo leather using the time honored skills of braiding and knot tying. When you purchase a piece you are able to select colors and size and your piece will usually be shipped within 5 to 7 days. Kangaroo leather's inherent tensile strength has lead to more intricate work using strands as fine as 1 mm in width all hand cut and beveled. Of course I still like big pieces and have recently started a series of 24 to 48 strand pieces using a 4 mm wide strand, big "strapping" pieces. But I still enjoy making some of the early designs I came up with like the split braid bracelets and Entangled. Variety is the spice of life.
