| I would like to introduce myself I am Twila and Grandmother Mary is my Mother. She is 82 yrs young and along with her husband (my Father) Manly they have owned/operated Settle Studio-Bridal Loft in Anadarko, Oklahoma since 1962. They have resided on Mockingbird Hill since 1969. Mockingbird Hill is located outside Anadarko, Oklahoma and is a part of a 3rd generation farm. She has always had a passion for redesigning clothing into new and exciting pieces. As a child I remember her taking my older brother’s out grown shirts and redesigning them into frilly blouses for me. They were always my favorite blouses to wear. Even with the declining sales for small town businesses, Settle Studio-Bridal Loft is still open today by appointment only. As Grandmother Mary is nowhere near ready to retire. She fills her days doing alterations and creating unique one-of-a-kind aprons from shirts found at Thrift Stores and donated by family. Female, Born on June 7 |
