Blue sea glass/beach glass is such a rare treasure to find, and this piece is almost a perfect tear drop.  Measuring 1 3/4 inches (4.5 cm) from the top of the sterling silver bail and 1 inch (2.5 cm) across, I\'ve wrapped this treasure in sterling silver wire and added a cascade of swirls and curls at the top.

What is sea glass/beach glass?  In days gone by, glass trash was dumped into the ocean.  These glass bottles, lamps and other items broke up into pieces by the force of the water.  Over time, the water and sand polished and softened all the edges and frosted the glass.  These treasures eventually land on our beaches to be picked up by passers by and given new life as wearable art.
