Additional Policies and FAQs
I welcome custom work! If you have color combinations that you envision..lets chat! I want to bring your vision to life. I will work with you to achieve just the right silk piece for you.

Care Instructions for your silk....
I use low immersion dye technique for most all the silk. Additionally, as part of the dye process I color fix the piece. However...depending on the colors, there will be some loose dye in the finished piece. I suggest a handwash in lukewarm water with mild detergent for the first few times. Once the handwash water is clear, your silk will be safe to wash in the machine on the delicate setting. Hang dry or into the dryer...either is safe!

A note regarding silk weight...
The mm designation refers to the term 'momme'. When mm is paired with a number it is referencing the weight in pounds of a very large piece of silk...100 yards! The lower the number connected with the mm designation, the lighter in weight of the silk. 5mm is extremely light, transluscent and floaty. 8mm is only a bit heavier and more opaque..still floaty and fluttery. The higher the momme, the heavier and more substantial the silk feels.
