CrayonJungle's Shop Policies

Welcome
From Chaos to Treasures

My mom taught me how to crochet when I was a child and I enjoyed making small blankets for my Cabbage Patch Kids (most of which I still have). I quit crocheting and didn't pick it up again until 2005. I guess expecting our first child made me feel more creative. Ha!

I then relied heavily on blogs and some YouTube videos to re-teach myself how to crochet as I made afghans for family that Christmas.

It wasn't until our son was 3 or so that I really started to look at crocheting more than just blankets. The first toy I crocheted was a blue squid that my son played with in the bath tub. And once our daughter was born in 2011 I really got into the fancy baby hats, boots and more.

I got the inspiration for my store name because I remember, when our son was young, looking around and being amazed at the toys and clutter in the house. It seemed that, no matter how much I cleaned, there were crayons on the floor, blocks on the table and stuffed animals everywhere.

But it was in the midst of this "crayon jungle" that I would think of ideas for new things to crochet. Because, while all of those little messes may make it hard to keep the house clean, they are wonderful reminders of the precious moments that make up childhood for my kids. I wouldn't trade those messes for anything.

I like to create items that help me to remember those moments and make me smile. And it gives me great pleasure to crochet treasures for other people and their families as well.

Payment
PayPal is the preferred method of payment as it is secure and fast. If payment is not received within 24 hours after the order was placed, the order will be cancelled and the item listed again.

Most of my items are made especially for you. Because of this, it can take up to 7 business days from the time payment is received to the time the item is mailed to you. Most of the time, your orders will be mailed out much sooner than that.

I encourage custom orders so if you see something you like but would prefer it in another color or a different size, please don't hesitate to ask.

Shipping
I ship using USPS within the United States. I generally ship first class. I can upgrade to Priority for an addition amount and if this is something you're interested in please contact me.

Refund & Exchanges
Unless you receive an item that is damaged or is completely not the item you asked for, I do not give refunds. Most of my items are unique and made to my customer's specifications. I always send a picture before mailing to ensure it is what my customer was wanting.

Additional Policies and FAQs
