Wrap length is approximately 5.5 yards long. They are one-size fits all. This is possible because of how these wraps tie. Some may tie the wrap in the front (as pictured) or in the back. If you would like a longer or shorter wrap, please convo me for pricing information.
Stretchy - This is the same style as a Moby wrap. The stretchy wraps are great for newborns through babies up to 15#. After about 15# the weight of the baby causes the wrap to give a bit and you will need to adjust/tighten the fabric accordingly. (Some companies will say that their stretchy wraps are good up to 35#, but after about 15# and any length of time in the wrap, they all give a bit and will need to be tightened). The slight stretch (cross-wise, not length) snuggles baby in and recreates the feeling of the womb. The slight stretch also makes tying a bit more forgiving - so it is nice for a new "wrapper". This wrap is great for people new to "wrapping" and for newborns - 15# (anywhere from 4-9 months). A great beginning wrap.

Non-Stretchy - Non-stretchy wraps are appropriate for newborns through toddlers up to 35#. There is no stretchy so you won't need to worry about adjusting and tightening. Because they don't stretch, they are a bit less forgiving to tie (typically a person needs to practice a few times (same with any wrap) to get the right tightness and to feel comfortable in the process). Once you practice, tying is a snap (just like changing a newborn's diaper, the first few times feel a bit awkward, but soon enough you will be doing it in your sleep!) The linen breathes quite nicely and is appropriate for warmer weather.

Gauze - For hot weather, there is no doubt that that the gauze is the best choice. The fabric breathes the best and helps to keep you and baby as cool as possible. Gauze itself is not stretchy, but the crinkles allow it to have a slight give across the wrap (not the length) to help cradle baby in and recreate the womb feeling. Like the non-stretchy wraps, they won't give under the weight of the baby.

So, the important questions to ask yourself when deciding which type of wrap to buy:
1. How long do you plan to use it? (weight of the baby) - Many will purchase a stretchy wrap at first then transition to a non-stretchy wrap later.
2. What time of year will you be wearing the baby and what is the climate? - Hot/cold, indoors/outdoors, sunny, cloudy. Choose an appropriate fabric and color.
