This sterling silver toe ring or adjustable finger ring features a paw print design that brings out your wild side. I stamped the paw prints into a 16 gauge sterling silver strip, smoothed and rounded the end tabs for a comfortable no pinch fit, and formed the ring shape with a nylon hammer and steel ring mandrel. Using a fine paint brush, I applied a black patina to the ring and paw prints for added contrast and brushed the surface for a burnished look that brings out a warm radiant silver glow.

The 16 gauge sterling silver is thicker than your average ring and makes a high quality ring with real substance, however it tends to be too thick for a toe ring. I prefer to make toe rings from 18 gauge sterling silver and find that the thinner metal conforms better to the shape of your toes.
