This hammered sterling silver ring started as a flat strip of 16 gauge sterling silver that I sawed with a 56tpi jewelry saw from sterling silver sheet metal. By hammering the sterling silver with 3 different ball hammers, I was able to produce that wavy rippled surface texture. Working with this hammered strip, I brought the ends together by bending the metal with a pliers until the ends were perfectly aligned. This seam was then soldered together with silver solder and an acetylene torch. The loosely formed shape with soldered ends was slipped over a steel ring mandrel and hammered with a nylon jewelry hammer to form a perfect ring. I hand filed the soldered seam and rounded the edges to create a classy stunning ring that has a radiant shine and sparkle in the light. This ring is unisex and looks amazing on a dude, gentlemen, lady, or even your grandma.

The ring measures 5mm wide or about ¼ inch and is pictured here in a size 7.
