This sterling silver flower pendant feature three unique handmade components: the outer pedals, inner whorls, and genuine black onyx stone set in a hand formed bezel cup. The six outer pedals were sawed by hand from 18 gauge sterling silver as one continuous form and then hammered on a dabbing block to create the life like curvature. I sawed the inner whorls or pedal structure from the same 18 gauger sterling silver sheet, formed, dapped and then soldered the outer pedals to the inner pedals before setting the onyx cup. A sulfur based patina was applied to the pedals for that amazing dark color with rich tones and highlights. The genuine black onyx stone was then set in the cup and the flower pendant burnished with a wire brush for an antique finish. The pendant measures a little bit over 1 inch in diameter and comes with an 18 inch sterling silver chain.
