This sterling silver cuff bracelet was sawed by hand from a flat sheet of 18 gauge sterling silver with a fine jewelry saw. Next I punched random holes in the interior of the flat strip of metal, fed a blade through the pilot holes and sawed out the abstract shapes to create the modern artistic cut out design that makes this bracelet so unique. Since I did not use a mold or pattern and went impromptu with the design, the bracelet is really a one of kind piece. The bracelet shape was produced by hammering the flat metal strip on a wooden bracelet mandrel with a nylon hammer. I finished the sterling silver with a light patina and wire brushed burnish for a natural silver appearance, but you may request a shiny tumbled finish, buffed satin finish, or even a mirror finish. Though mirror finishes look amazing at first, I find they are harder to maintain.

The general design idea came from my hubby, who was looking for a sterling silver bracelet that highlighted structure and would make a great unisex piece for guys and girls.

This sterling silver cuff bracelet measures 1 inch wide and 6 inch long, fits a medium to large wrist, and can be bent to fit a smaller wrist. Though no two pieces will ever be exactly alike, I recommend having a similar bracelet made in your correct size rather than compromising the fit by excessive bending. A custom bracelet will also give you the chance to suggest any design changes or personalization you wish to have in your bracelet. For example, you may request intermixed circular cut outs or a similar bracelet in aluminum, bronze, copper, mixed metals, metal fusion, or precious metal clays.
