| I am a third generation artist. I was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and went to college in New York. Other than living in PA, I have also resided in New York City and Los Angeles, California. Having lived primarily in urban areas, I am inspired by the indstrialized city. I have worked in a variety of professions prior to opening Diane Wright Designs including acting, modeling and middle school inner city public school teaching at an arts magnet. I have totally been inspired by what I have learned teaching inner city youth and what they are able to accomplish. My inspiration also emanates from the colors, textures, shape, and balance of nature. It never ceases to amaze me. My work focuses on those elements - especially texture. I trust in the serendipitousness of life and go with the flow so that my work proceeds organically from somewhere deep within me. Female, Born on April 13 |
