My name is Pam and I am an avid handcraft jewelry artisan. I am a retired realtor in the Daytona Beach, FL area. I have been crafting in one medium or another for most of my life and for a few years I put it aside because being a realtor and a new grandma took up all of my time. Then 2009 I lost my mother and a few days later I had a heart attack. Now heart attacks are something to recover from to begin with but they don't tell you about the depressive state you will find yourself in so I continued as a realtor for a couple more years until I finally realized that there was something truly missing from my life. Happiness. That was what was missing, so I ended my real estate career in 2012 and began to search my heart for other answers. I did not just want to make money anymore, I wanted to do something that made me smile. Well,I had been collecting beads for quite a few years and storing them away, taking them out occasionally to look at them, (I like pretty things). One day, I decided to enlist the help of my daughter to create something special for a party that I was to attend and that was the beginning of our little adventure here on A Bead Thing. My daughter played around with the beading and due to a lack of time and energy after working full time and taking care of her twice exceptional child, she pretty much just plays around with wire now, but me. Well, I began to research all the various types of jewelry making and dabbled in quite a few, but seed beads. Ah ha, that was it. I love these little tiny beads. I can barely see them but I truly love them and what you can create with them. I hope that you will take the time to come back again and again to see what I do with these beautiful little beads, by themselves or combined with other types. I just love it and I am now probably the happiest I have been in my life. I also have to tell you that I must give thanks to God above, my heavenly Father for His patience with this child of His. He has given me visions of excellence and I strive to ensure that all pieces are just that, excellent. Thank you. Female, Born on April 5 |
