Bio

Thank you so very much for visiting my site today. My name is Shelly Jimenez and I am the owner of Our Precious Charms. My husband and I are the parents of two twenty-four year old twins who were born extremely premature. Our son Chris, who spent his first year of life in the NICU, requires 24/7 care, and our daughter Kayla, who was in the NICU for 4.5 months, has disabilities and is an AMAZING watercolor artist and illustrator of the Mandy and Izzy books. After witnessing, not only my children, but others who have different abilities and those who struggle with self worth, bullying, gender identity, mental health, chronic or life threatening diseases and other issues, that unfortunately are not accepted by others, struggle daily to fit into a one size fits all society, I decided to create jewelry that promotes kindness, acceptance, beauty, and love for everyone to enjoy. I too have struggled in my life. I truly believe everyone has a story and your story does matter. My life is one that I never would have imagined. Due to our son’s terminal illness and disabilities, we have been confined to our home for several years. Trying to help our daughter, who struggles with her disabilities has been very difficult, but because of Chris and Kayla, WE have been changed for the better and we will continue to shine bright through the good and bad.
