MonArtCreations's Profile

A hobby turned passion is how Monica Spano from Medford, NY describes her newfound love of painting through the art of paint pouring.

“I’m not an artist. I’m the person no one wants on their team for Pictionary”

What she did not realize back in early 2020 is that art comes in many forms. “Although I was not able to paint or draw beautiful images of nature, animals or people I could create something special without expectations and not anticipating the outcome of the painting.”

Paint Pouring is an old art form, which has recently exploded in popularity. It has been around since the early 1930s and was originally labeled as “accidental painting” by Mexican Artist David Alfaro.

From canvas paintings to jewelry to coasters, Monica continues to up her game and continues to challenge herself with different techniques on various items.
