Bio

Hi, Welcome to my shop, Designs by Leslie Ann. I am a mainly self-taught artist and I work in multi medias, ie Jewelry design, woodcarving, stained glass, watercolors and acrylics. I love making jewelry, and have been designing and assembling jewelry for decades. As a teenager, macramé necklaces with found things, seashells, beach glass, and purchased beads that I’d come across in the curiosity shops on a weekend beach trip. They’d be gifts for friends and family, and good luck charms with stones and feathers to attach to my horses’ saddles & bridles. I enjoy designing with natural materials, gemstones and sterling silver. I feel very blessed to work with gems and stones from Mother Earth. I like to attend various gem shows for purchasing materials. Being able to see & feel the material/stones allows me to purchase only quality materials/stones for my designs. Each jewelry creation is unique, I make only one of each. I will often include a little “tradition, legend, & lore” paragraph to the descriptions regarding the stones/materials used in the design. I like knowing these things and figure many other people do too. I find great peace creating jewelry with gemstones. I am happy to have this shop as a creative outlet to share the work I love.
