Bio

For as long as I can remember I have been creating things. Whether it was scarfs for friends, paintings, or even clay ornaments, I have had this never ending urge to create. It is my own form of meditation, and just comes naturally to me. Originally from New Hampshire, I met my husband at a Naval base in upstate New York. While my husband was stationed in Hawaii, we had our first child. And shortly after he was discharged we had our second. I made each of them their very own baby blanket. I realized it would be difficult for me to go back to work, so I decided to start selling my crochets. I came up with the idea for the Aromatherapy Animals while I was trying to get my son to sleep. I started thinking about the corn bags we used to use when I was a kid, and thought wouldn't it be great if I could make an animal like that to help him get to sleep. "Why not!" I told myself, and found the perfect pattern for it. A puppy that I could fill with corn and lavender to sooth him to sleep. My items are truly handmade items. I do not outsource any portion of the production process to outside companies or factories. This holds true for every item listed in my shop. Every stitch of every blanket and animal is done by hand, by me. I take pride in my work, and put love into every stitch. Every piece holds a place in my heart. More recently I learned the art of candle making and have been perfecting that. I use only high quality ingredients, and hand pour every candle myself. Why do I consider my materials high quality? Prior to purchasing my supplies from reputable suppliers, I screen their quality reviews. If it is not a 5 star quality product, I look elsewhere. I only use 100% pure, all natural soy wax, that was farmed in the United States, and fragrance oils that have tested highest in their performance in soy wax. Herbs used in the creation of my Aromatherapy Animals are organic, clean, professionally dried and farm raised. They have an absolutely beautiful and strong scent. Much like the herbs, the dried whole corn is also farm raised. It is triple cleaned and contains little to no cracked corn. I love to make custom orders. I want my customers to have a one of a kind item that is made specifically for them. If you have an idea, let me know, and I will bring it to life. I realized that if I am going to achieve my goal of being a small business owner and have my own store front, I need to have a structure to stand on. I am working towards my Bachelors degree in Business Administration / Small Business Management. My goal is to one day turn this little online business into a thriving store front.
