Creepiness has descended upon Blue Highways with this handmade book and slipcase. This 5.5" x 8.5" journal is has stepped into the world of Edgar Allan Poe with it's spiders, bones, skulls, an owl, a chandelier and ornate scrollwork - the Raven himself has even made an appearance on the front of the slipcase.

Inside I have bound 200 pages (front & back) of very nice 24# lined ivory parchment-like pages. They have been sewn with pewter handwaxed cotton thread with the exposed threads gathered at 6 places at the spine. I've built-in an light tan and black grosgrain ribbon bookmark embellished with frosted glass beads dangling from the end. The slipcase is covered in a fabric resembling soft black leather on which I have adhered the raven to the front. This will be the only slipcased journal made using this fabric.
