The gray monochromatic fabric covering this 5.5" x 8.5" journal puts me in the mind of some of the beautiful etchings in some of the old books of fairy tales. 

I have sewn 200 pages (front & back) of lightly lined dove gray archival quality 24# parchment paper. These pages have been bound with variegated gray handwaxed cotton thread and gathered in 3 places at the spine with tiny pearlized glass beads. This book will ship with a removable elastic band to help keep the covers closed while not in use.
