Preserving a perfect splendid summer's day in the Bernese Oberland on the edge of the alps, this landscape bracelet features all hand sawed components carefully crafted from 20 gauge sterling silver and soldered to an 18 gauge sterling silver base and finished with a stunning patina and brass sun.

The design was started by sawing a 6.5 inch long by 1 inch wide rectangular base from 18 gauge sterling silver. The mountains and buildings were sawed freehand from 20 gauge sterling silver using a jewelry saw and soldered to the base rectangle using an acetylene torch and high flow sterling silver solder. Rays of sunlight, the fine details in the mountains, windows, and the doors were chased into the sterling silver using a variety of tools including a fine tip engraver and extra fine chisel. Placed over a wooden mandrel, the flat bracelet form with the soldered components was carefully shaped with a nylon mallet into a perfect bracelet. After removing the fire scale, rounded the end tabs, and filing the edges, a patina was applied to the sterling silver and brushed to create the rich shades of grey and stunning contrast in the lines.
