Sailing over ocean waves in a sea of silver, this handmade sterling silver disc bead pendant was crafted as unique focal bead to be worn alone or combined with other beads for a stylish ebb and flow. To create the swirl disc bead, two discs 1 inch discs were pressed from 18 gauge sterling silver sheet metal using a disc cutter, hammered on a wave patterned steel plate, and very carefully domed in a steel dapping block so as not to mar the swirling waves. The two discs were joined with sterling silver solder paste and fused using a fine acetylene torch. Two holes were drilled in the backside and a black leather cord with adjustable slip knots was fed through the holes for a rustic southwestern appearance, however you may also request your swirl disc bead with small holes for beading or a stainless steel ball chain. As a final touch, a subtle grey patina was brushed into the grooves between the waves for contrast.
