Handmade for an animal lover, this paw print medallion has an 18 gauge sterling silver backing disc with a black patina for stunning contrast and to add a 3 dimensional effect to the pads and outer ring that encircles the paw design as a frame. The pads were also cut from 18 gauge sterling silver and fused to the backing disc with silver solder and an acetylene torch.

Generously sized at 1.3 inches in diameter, this animal paw medallion blends elegant sterling silver with wild spirit. The raised sterling silver surfaces were brushed to produce a satin finish with a subtle luster from the metal grains before hanging the medallion from a matching 16 inch stainless steel ball chain.
