This sterling silver crosses were sawed by hand from 18 gauge sterling silver and were soldered together using silver solder and an acetylene torch. The basic design is my own adaptation of a fleur-de-lis cross with added chased designs around the edges produced by hammering with a screwdriver and a strongly developed lower linear portion.

The large cross measures about 2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide and is a massive statement that can be worn by women or men. For finishing details, the edges have been filed smooth and a black patina was brushed into the grooves, chased edges, and all around the smaller cross to produce a three dimensional appearance. The pendant comes with a stainless steel ball chain that is ideal for continual rough wear and abuse, however I also have a sterling silver link chain or black leather cord available.
