These rose earrings were sawed by hand from a flat sheet of 20 gauge sterling silver with a jewelry saw and feature Art Nouveau inspired intricate pieced and cut details. After sawing the rose shape, pilot holes were punched in the metal, a saw blade fed through the holes, and with great precision and patience the design was cut out. The design for the roses came from hand drawn 3 D roses in my sketchbook that I essentially flattened by using a dead on view and removing the x-axis. Using a silicon flap wheel and hand file, I smoothed the rough edges and polished the earrings to a low shine.

The earrings measure about 1 1/2 inch in diameter and come with hypoallergenic sterling silver ear wires. These earrings have always been a top seller at local markets for mother's day, birthdays, graduation, and spring and summer fashion essentials.
