These dangling disc earrings are a splendid fusion of bronze, copper, and sterling silver enhancing my lily design. All of the components were individually sawed by hand and welded together with perfection. The bronze backing discs, measuring 1.4 inches (35 mm) in diameter, were sawed by hand from a flat sheet of 20 gauge bronze. The six-petal lily flower was hand sawed from 18 gauge copper while the central sterling silver disc representing the carpel was given a stamped texture to illustrate the stamen. The components were soldered together with an acetylene torch then hammered on a steel dapping block to produce the dome shape which gives the disc earrings added dimension and creates natural highlights from light bouncing off the curved surfaces. The subtle pewter black patina applied to the edges of lily design and chased lines in the petals gives added contrast and increased definition against the warm radiant shimmer of the overall burnished satin finish.

The earrings hang from sterling silver certified hypoallergenic ear wires with a dangle of approximately 2 inches from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the bronze disc.
