Maybe I can explain the odd title on this handbound book (though many are odd I must admit). I was in Charleston, SC not long ago to visit a sweet friend, we went to the aquarium... there were sea turtles with amazing grace swimming right before our eyes...and that's the rest of the story!

Inside this pretty sea turtle batik covered 5.5" x 8.5" journal I have bound 200 pages (front & back) - alternating 120 lined pages & 80 unlined pages of pale blue 24# Southworth "parchment" paper, this paper is both lignin and acid free.. They have been long stitched with pretty turquoise handwaxed cotton thread and some of the exposed threads on the spine have been embellished with small black opal glass beads. The endpapers are a wonderful heavily textured turquoise handmade paper (they were not made by me).
