I have created a delicate fingering weight shawl with knitted German short rows that mimic beautiful butterfly wings.  It is hand-knit with hand-dyed 100% extrafine superwash Merino yarn in shades of purples, blues, greens and contrasted with black.

It is delicate looking, but sturdy, and will be the source of many compliments!
