This is one fabulous handbound book covered in a dreamy blue, purple, cream, beige and white watercolor-like peony fabric. The flowers are all outlined in shimmery gold metallic. Very elegant in style.

Inside this 9" x 12" larger book I have bound 96 pages (front and back) of heavyweight tagboard (think cardstock weight). The smooth surface is ideal for working with pencils, pen & ink, markers, colored pencils, stamps and other media. This journal would also be great for those that like to add drawings, photos or other ephemera along with their writings. I have longstitch sewn the pages with a matching off-white handwaxed cotton thread, the exposed threads are gathered in 5 places and embellished with gold colored beads on the spine. There is a natural wooden button on the front cover for the suede lace to wrap around to keep this journal shut while not in use.
