Hello, and welcome to The Bead Muse!! I'm a local artisan based near Houton, Texas. I work primarily with beads, chainmaille, and wire wrapping, but I do enjoy feathers and other fun accessories as well!
My work is made with care in my home. We are smoke free, but we do have pets. Parrots, a bearded dragon, and every once in a while we take in rescue dogs and find them homes.
We usually are found by the ones that people dump, and don't have the heart to take them to the pound.

I work very hard on Customer Satisfaction. I have reviews available on my Etsy.com/shop/thebeadmusetx if you need to read them for any reason. ^_^

Payment
We only accept Paypal payments in this shop. And due to Texas state tax requirements, if you are from Texas we must charge the 8.25% tax. We have no choice!

Shipping
We ship First Class mail parcel. In most cases the item reaches you in 2-4 days.
If you would like to upgrade your shipping, please contact me for more information.

Refund & Exchanges
We do not offer refunds on lost items in the mail. Once the package leaves my hands, it is out of my control. If you choose to purchase insurance, contact me so that I may calculate the cost. If your item is damaged, or if it has simply "come apart" within the first year of purchase, I will gladly repair it for you, free of charge! Repairs that need to be made after one year will be priced according to difficulty! We do not offer refunds unless an item is completely ruined. In that case, we will wait until the damaged item is returned to us to issue a refund.
That said, I take pride in my jewelry, and am very careful to create items that will put up with general wear and tear. Most jewelry is not made for every-day wear, and it is definitely not made for swimming, showers, hot tubs, or any other water related activity.

Additional Policies and FAQs
Custom Orders all require a 50% down payment, which is non refundable. This generally pays for half of my time and half of my supplies. If for any reason a customer backs out of an order, the order will be completed, excluding any personalization, and it will be listed for general sale on the site for the price agreed upon.

Custom ordering is a simple process. Simply choose an item similar to what you are looking for, and send me a link or a photo. Then outline what you want changed. I love the creating process and will discuss it with you until I can get a clear picture of what it is you want.

I price my items at wholesale level, which is ((materialsx2)+(Time))+5% overhead costs of the total. Retail value is technically double that, but I have never sold an item at retail price, other than earrings. I try to keep my work as affordable as possible, and work very hard to make quality items at a reasonable price.
