The focal bead is a Chinese Bat, made from banded agate, The hammered copper cuff is lined with leather because the new owner of this piece has an intolerance for metal on her skin.

Four days of babysitting my adorable, wonderful, mellow, beautiful, 16-month-old granddaughter completely wore me out.  But I could not have asked for a more delightful baby...   See was never - ever - cranky....  she ate and slept wonderfully, she was just remarkably happy the whole time.  And what a smarty...  she loved to play outside and it didn't take her long AT ALL to figure out how the doggie door works...

Sad that this is about the only picture I took of her while she was here.

Today, I am recuperating.  Tomorrow, I go back to work, and TGIF!
Li'l escape artist!

Theresa, I hope your husband is making a ton of money as a "consultant"

Beth and Monika, I too have chronic pain, but it is now manageable with my medical marijuana card. Pot has a reputation for making people lazy and unproductive, but since I have been medicated, My creativity and productivity are much enhanced.

Still working on my website, (it is taking far longer than I anticipated) But, the direction it is headed is going to be much more professional looking once it's done.
Larissa. I can certainly relate to eating too much crapola, and feeling like a beached whale! lol

Lovely work Matt. I actually really like the prop with the rail for the pic. Whether it is your anvil or not, I think it is a pretty cool photo prop.
Thanks, The photos happened right after I finished the cuff, it was sitting on the anvil. I noticed how nice it looked with the sun shining on it through the window. I was thrilled how the photos turned out!

Very nice recycling of metal.  I see a railroad track under the cuff, do you use that as an anvil?

I really like your work on this.  Attached is a little modification of your photo, hope you like it.

john

Yes, It is my anvil. I do like the modification!
Here is a better photo of the anvil.

But the fact remains that if you want to actually SELL your items, Etsy is the way to go.  For a listing fee of $6.00 per month (one item per day) I'm averaging 8 sales per month at +/- $100 per sale.

Reality is sometimes hard to swallow, but facts are facts.  If you want to SELL, Etsy is the way to go.

I don't think anyone would argue with you over that statistic, but it's not that way for everyone. And for many of us, we are jaded because of the poor treatment of ourselves and others there. Ethical behavior and sticking to a business model take precedence over sales. For me, sales at whatever cost is not an option. Establishing oneself with good customer service, good product, and being fair is paramount and with that the sales will come.
Etsy has also been around much longer, so they are well established. I have no doubt that this site will join those ranks in the future AND we can hold our heads high BECAUSE we stuck to our model and treated everyone fairly.
Amen Theresa
