Jewelry / First Bracelet

Here is my first bracelet. It is a commissioned piece made using beach glass collected by the client and her father.
The glass was collected from Glass Beach in California.
It is wrapped using gold filled wire and a g/f clasp.

Thought I was in Springfield for a minute... then I realized I was going by the decomissioned Rancho Seco power plant (didn't see any two headed cows or three eyed ground squirrels :-\ ^-^

This is my most elaborate beading project to date, The focal piece is labradorite from some leftover pieces of a stone countertop (an expensive stone countertop) that I shaped and polished.
The beads are black jasper, wood, mother of pearl and baltic amber.

Here is a little green for earth day...
These Malachite freeform pendants are made from the end of a piece of Malachite that the average lapidarist would pass on... The back side is filled with holes and bubbles .The front had such beautiful patterning that I couldn't just junk this stone. They all have hand wrapped sterling silver bails.

This is a piece of petrified wood that was given to me, (I do not remember who gave it to me)  :-\
I made a nice cab, but left the back of the stone in it's natural state. Wrapped in 20g square and 22g half round sterling silver.

This Dragonclaw is made from some jasper from a quarry near the town of Bridge OR.
 I saved some of this stone from becoming road gravel. (I have a bunch of it) ^-^

This is my latest piece I have listed in the HAFshop, it is made from a piece of Rhyolite that I picked up in Nevada last summer. The bail is sterling silver hand wrapped by yours truly and the chain is an 18" plated silver chain and clasp.

This piece was inspired by , and made for the winter Hafteam challenge.
Sadly it didnt win ... but I put on display in the Gallery By the Bay in North Bend OR and it sold in just a few days... The person who bought it thought it was a wonderful memento for the winter olympics...

Here is the latest batch of cabs...there is malachite, druzy center of a geode, Asurite, and rhyolite.
The first three are thanks to BobbieWired who graciously gifted me with these stone, for me to work into beautiful jewelry... I have drilled some of them so they can be used as beads or have a bail.

This is a freeform cabachon made from Starry night Obsidian.
 I found this stone last year on my rockhounding trip. It was found in the Davis Creek area of California.
I didn't know it was the starry night variety of obsidian when I found it. In fact when I cut it open I thought the white spots were defects in the stone and I almost tossed the whole thing in my give away pile as I thought the quality of the stone was too poor to shine well... It's a good thing I decided to play with some of this stone one day is the result...
This cab is drilled and has a hand wrapped sterling silver bail.

I think I will keep this one for myself ^-^
