I can't believe how sad this is.  I will offer prayers for the families for comfort.

Hi Everyone!  I am currently using the free trial.  I will be paying for it, since I do find it soooo wonderfully convenient to post to Twitter and Facebook when I am not feeling well, when I am at my many doc appt, when I need to attend to my son, when.....

I do participate on FB and Twitter in between all the nonsense and when I am working, so it is not only a case of spamming the networks.  I am considering getting on StatusNet and from what I understand, Social Oomph is planning to keep adding to the networks it updates.

I schedule things and honestly, I use the same posts.  I also add new ones and rewrite to old ones from time to time.  One of the best things about scheduling is being able to post when I am not around or am sleeping.  Like anything else, it is a tool that helps.  It does not make the sale and it does not take the place of you, the seller.  It helps you get exposure, that's all.

I wish you all All Blessings,
Candy

Handmade Artists' Shop (HAFshop) / 1200 hits in less than 24 hours.
« on: April 28, 2010, 08:15:03 PM »
Hello!~  I hope everyone is doing well.  I wanted to let everyone now about a couple of things that have been happening lately.

After a bit of a break for personal reasons I am back promoting and working.  Today I got 1200 hits by 9PM.  Now that is not just from my own promoting.  I do that on Twitter and Facebook, but I also have some help from friends who RT and of course Andrew and Kimberley and their posts.

Now among the questions you should be asking yourself is how, without sitting at the puter all day long, that I got that many hits.  Well, I use Social Oomph.  Its a great tool for folks like us because it allows you to schedule posts are various times during the day.

I know, there are lots of twitter tools like this, but Social Oomph has a cool feature that allows you to just load up your tweets into a queue and forget about it... at least until the queue is empty.  It works great and dribbles the tweets.. and facebook and some other social network postings.

Try it, I think you will like it.

All Blessings,
Candy

That was a little bit mean, but I guess that is the nature of April Fool jokes.  I am delighted it is not true.  I have been listing on the HAFShop site for 1.5 months now and have just passed 9900 hits.  I have made 5 sales with 2 of them being multiple items.  This is the best selling site by far and I would have been devastated if it was true.

Thank you for everything.

All Blessings,
Candy

Hi... I wanted to tell everyone that I have been fortunate enough to make two more sales today.  Both of them on HAFShop.

More importantly, I want to make sure to thank Andrew for all his patience and help.  No matter what the issue they are always right on top of making things better.  If all the admins of the selling sites were as patient and helpful to their sellers I think there would be many more happy moments for us all.

Kudos Andrew!  To both you and Kimberley for all you do for us all!!!!!!!

LOL!  Sorry about that Andrew!!

Hi guys!  I am still getting some good hit numbers and I have made my first sale on HAF.

The reports are great and if you are not sure where they are, when you log into your shop listing area click on the button at the top that says statistics and then reports.  it will give you a list of the reports you can see.  Click shop views and you will she the current months hits.  You can play with the dates to cull more info from the report as well.

I do recommend a little bit of promotion on your own, as well as inviting those folks you know who sell to come and check the site out.  Its a great place to be and the admins are very friendly and offer lots of help.

Just wanted to let everyone know how things are going.

All Blessings,
Candy

Thank you all for your congratulations!  I am hoping this is a breaking of the fast and not just a carrot to chase!

Hello Kimberley, it is nice to meet you!

For those of you who have not gotten your store up and running yet, What are you waiting for??  Now is a great time to get things going and start selling.  Andy and Kimberley are offering 90 days of selling for only $1 tiny dollar and they don't charge any other fees.  You can list as much as you like, not just finished pieces but, like I did, kits also.  Come and take a look.  Take a chance.  You won't be disappointed!!

All Blessings,
Candy

Hi!  I wanted to let everyone know that I made my first sale today.  It was for an Argentium Silver Cross Kit.  I am so happy that I am a part of the HAF Shop.  I have had nearly 4000 hits in exactly 1 month since I joined the shop.  Andrew and his wife, whose name I wish I knew, have been fantastic.  I tell everyone to stop in and have a look around.  And yes, I encourage them to sell with us.

I hope that everyone will come and join the site.  It will be worth the time you put into it.

Thanks to everyone who makes this happen.

All Blessings,
Candy

Hi Bauble... I have a suggestion.  Once you have a listing you like try using the template feature.  it is the little pyramid looking thingy with a plus sign on the far right of the list of products.  Go into manage products.  It is on that screen.

If you do that you will have most of the info already filled in.  Just change what you need to, add your new pics and done.  Also, unlike most other web page editors, you dont have to hit save when you are done on the first tab.  Personally, I fill what I need on the Product Info tab, hit the Secondary Images tab then I save it.  I dont even use the other tab screens.  I am sure Andrew and his lovely wife will let us know if we need those.

I have 21 listings up now.  I do a couple each day.  I find it easier than on HAF than on some other sites.

That is my three and half cents.  Keep trying, you will get it.

Great job everyone!!  Keep up the good work!

Thank you Andrew.  The promo tools are really helping to make it a little easier to get the word out.  I am hoping that when I add advertising and the kits things will start to pick up.  What I think is making things harder is the economy is as frosty as the East Coasts weather has been.  But I shall persevere.

I hope that everyone will start to use their tools to do promotion and such.  I have a total of 6 current webshops and 2 more that will be coming up in the near future.  This one is the only one I have had this much traffic on.

Viva la HAF Shop!!!

Thanks for the votes of confidence.  I like watching my hit numbers grow also.  I wish the sales would stack up as fast as the hits do but that would probably kill me trying to keep up. :D

Good luck to everyone!  Tell all your crafty friends about the forum and the shop.
