I have started a flickr group for the forum members to show off their stuff here http://www.flickr.com/groups/handmadeartistsforum/ . You need to give me your flickr address so that I can send you an invitation to join. We are setting this pool up so that our flickr feed connects to our facebook page...more exposure people!

We have a flicker section in links with 10 members there so far.

I email support and they are having some internal fit that should be fixed soon. in the mean time go here http://www.flickr.com/groups/handmadeartistsforum/ and request and invitation so I can approve our members and fill up the group.

Just how do I go about sending over photos from my Flicker acct? Of course I probably should upload my recent stuff! But I really appreciate that you tagged my photo. It's my other hobby!

If you go to your flickr page there is an "Organization" dropdown at the top. Click "all your content" and then a new window will open. You click the group tag and you can drag and drop your photos into the group.

We are up to 21 members and 61 photos so we are getting a good variety to show off!

I finally found a chunk of time to explore adding the Flickr feed to the Facebook page. Since I'm not an authorized admin to the Flickr site I can't finish the process of setting this up....so I need your help! Go Visit." Click on go visit and it should ask you to authorize permission to access the HAF Flickr photostream.

I just made it really easy and made you an admin of the flickr group so you should now be able to authorize the account. If this doesn't work, let me know and I will try to do it through fb.

Basically you give me your flickr address and I go to your page and invite you via one of your pictures. You accept and then you can upload photos into the group.

whew - I guess I was lucky and made it in before the handshake was required - I'd never make it otherwise - heck if I ever got stopped while driving, I'd probably fail the DUI test, and I don't even drink! lo hehehe but then I don't have a car anyway!

On a different subject for all of our members that participate in this group, if anyone notices someone posting pictures that aren't forum members just let us know. We've opened up the group for anyone to join, they just have to say they are members of the forum. We are not heavily moderating this. In fact if some of our HAF flicker group members have a desire to have moderator privileges on the flicker group just let me know.

Sorry it has taken us a while to answer. We could give you permissions as a moderator. Depending on how a group is set up a moderator sometimes approves pics or requests for membership, I don't think we have any of those restictions on the group though. So other things that group mods can do I believe is as they stroll around flicker you can invite people to join the group. This may be difficult as it is supposed to be forum members. So you would almost have to invite them to the forum as well. There probably are other possibilities of things we could do. Any flicker experts out there want to chime in?

Also, I have a question about the flickr group - Flickr says in its rule that you can't use your page just to sell - is there a different rule for groups that form? They apparently have allowed this group to continue for a long time, so hopefully it's really okay. Thanks.

Trying to create a new Flickr acct w/email attached to this shop's account, but it's linking to my old Flickr acct under other email. If I can't have people linking back to where my stuff is for sale, what point is there in having the account?

I deleted it yesterday out of frustration, but now I'm not so sure it was a good idea. How does everyone else get around the commercial restrictions?

Post by: Bluerosedreamer on August 20, 2014, 07:29:04 AM: Most times I post to Flickr through my Instagram account, so the link is the description I use for Instagram. I did add some links directly to the items in the comments section, so that may be what tipped them off.

I really don't want to give up the account...I think I'll just figure out how to get around the restrictions.
