Pictures of an eye, the inside of an eye!!
« on: August 24, 2013, 04:44:03 AM »
These are pictures of the inside of an eye, so fair warning if things like this make you quezzy, don't go any further!  They aren't bloody, though.
I have a fascination with x-rays, MRI's, etc of almost anywhere on the body, but I have wanted to be able to see  inside  an eye, like a Dr does, for many years.

I may not always be able to tell exactly what I'm looking at, but, they still fascinate me.  These are pictures of Kai's eye, before and after his 1st surgery, and I thought I'd share them in case anyone else has this kind of fascination with the human body, especially the eye.
This is about the closest I've come to actually looking into an eye.
Upper left, Kai's good eye.  Upper right, the "sick" eye before the 1st surgery
bottom 2 pictures were taken June 10th, of his right eye after surgery to clean out his eye in May and after his retina was reattached (June 5th)  Oh yes, the pictures do get bigger if you click on them!

I can't explain much on this bottom one, except it was also taken June 10th, and I believe that the dark mark in the upper left corner is from the surgery, sort of like scar tissue, and I could be wrong about that! I'll have to ask him again and get back on this one!

Oh yeah, his eye is full of oil instead of regular fluid that we have in our eye, and even though it isn't as clear as the left one, it sure looks a lot better than it did before surgery!   I would love to see a more recent picture!

I think so!  I finally remembered to ask Kai about the bottom picture.  The picture is looking directly into the eye,  the dark mark on the upper left is the where the detachment happened,  the right side of the picture is the inside corner of the eye. The light part in the  lower center is from the oil that was put in his eye.
