New Paintings
« on: June 25, 2013, 11:26:11 AM »
I've been painting on material lately (not done yet) and when I was doing some shopping for a few supplies a few weeks ago I found a small pad of watercolor paper at a great price.  I took about 250 pictures on the way home from Colorado so these were all inspired from my trip on the bus.

What do you think of
1. the painting itself
2. the name
3 price

#1  On The Road (Again)

#2 Oh the Stories They Could Tell

#3 Untitled the "hill" is called Wagon Mound, but I'm not sure I want to name it that, any ideas??

Each one is 4" x 6", I was thinking of pricing them somewhere around $20 to 25.

They're really pretty, and I especially like the middle one.  I like the names, and think Wagon Mound actually works.  Price seems good to me, too.  Maybe you could go a tad higher.  I think you're on the right track, though.

Thank you Larissa I do appreciate your input.  There are trees, bushes, brush etc around these places, but I was really focusing on the shapes and sort of overall color of the areas.

Even if people don't like them I'd like to hear that too!

Wow, these are so up my alley! Love the subject, the color palette! Price is very fair too. I do love having original art in my home.  ;)

I am with everyone else on the names, including Wagon Mound.  I think you might be able to go a bit higher on the price.  It would be great if you could start doing copies and do them as cards.

Thank you everyone.
Actually I went with $22. 00 on these.  Now maybe when I become a famous artist I'll charge a whole lot more!! lolo
Lisa, I do plan on doing cards etc with at least some of them.

Seriously, I get weird when nobody says anything, I'd almost rather have someone say they don't like it and why than nothing at all!

I will say that I do click on everything to clear it out, even if I've already commented and have nothing else to say.  So that'll be a view without a comment.

Also, I may click on it, see what's there, and then want to really comment in depth or consider my response before I do, so I wait until I'm sitting at my own computer and have time.  During the weekday, I'm only coming here from my phone, so any lengthy comments or ones that require time to formulate just aren't happening.

I refuse to come to personal sites from my office computer.  That's just looking for trouble.

It's all good Larissa!  Yeah, you don't want to open up a spot for someone who isn't going to show up to work anyway! lo

Honestly I  apologize for that comment, about no comments, I know how it works around here, I was in a funky mood that day.

Thank you Teresa
And that's part of the reason I priced them for what I did, heck they're only 4" x 6", they aren't detailed at all which would make a difference.
