what category should I use?
« on: June 17, 2013, 03:55:54 PM »
I have started a new section in my shop for specialty cut mats and "maybe" frames.  I just finished a custom order for someone who wanted to display her diplomas, but Michaels wouldn't do them because they were 2 different sizes.  I did them, and they turned out wonderful.  I will also be offering specialty cut mats in standard sizes, but I'm not sure what section to put them under...
art (they can be used to frame your artwork)
housewares - frames (but they are not really frames)
paper (?)
Any suggestions?
Debbi

great job, maybe we need another section "mats and frames" under art?  I think that's where I would look for mats.

I think I have to agree with getting a new section for "mats and frames".  This makes the most sense.    ANNNNNDDDDDREEEEWWWW

Nice job Debbi! I find it odd that Michael's wouldn't do it, but that was good for you!

I use to work in the framing department at Michaels, and I think it was more like the person didn't feel like trying to figure it out...oh well, that just means a sale for me.  ;D

So I agree mats and frames should be a subcategory. Under what category, I hear housewares, art....
However I'm leaning towards housewares.
Any other input?
