Hi I'm Chris!

I came across this site via Facebook, then came across it again via Twitter and then it was mentioned in a conversation.

Although I don't personally create Handmade products, I spend a vast amount of my time providing marketing advice to handmade businesses.

I hope to provide as much value as I can to this community and I'll  be popping around the business advice section on a regular basis.

Kind regards,

Chris

Good afternoon, I am Beverly.  I JUST opened my shop: Botts Knitwear. Yes, I am an avid knitter who knits every day at some point on some project.   Many times I have more than one project in the works.  My current items and focus are wine koozies, so I been busy designing different designs>  I started giving them as gifts and now here I am.

My mom (Sandra) and I (Jolene) are traveling around the state of Florida in an old Class A RV being campground hosts at various state parks to help minimize our expense. Along the way we create bead and wire jewelry and hand crocheted items to help support our traveling habit. We have our own website, blog, sell on Etsy, Facebook page, Twitter account and Pinterest account.

We look forward to meeting and talking to our fellow crafters and learning how to sell our colorful and unique handmade items here. We have already posted a few things but will have more posted over the next two weeks.

Thanks
Jolene and Sandra MacFadden

Hello-
I'm a paralegal turned stay at home and soon to be part time work from home paralegal again. Whew!
Originally from California but moved to beautiful Colorado 3 years ago. Love, love, love it here. I dabble a bit in sewing but my main joy is taking photos of beautiful and unique things. Well almost everything I guess. Ask my poor husband and daughter.  :)
I've been making photo cards and coasters and sending them to friends. Someone told me I should sell them so here I am.  I'm slowly building up my shop and will be adding a bunch of new items.  In time for the holidays I should have sets of cards for sale as well.

Welcome "Sally J"

I was a little confused with the different titles between the shop and your names.  But that is just a slight observation.  Your pictures could be a bit more focused and probably could use a little cropping in some cases.  I don't know what photo editing program you are using, but you are adding script to your pictures so you must have something.  I use GIMP which is similar to photoshop by adobe, but GIMP is open source and free.

We are a friendly group and try to support each other, and promote all things handmade.  You have a great eclectic group of items in your shop.

Depending on where you live, you might want to join us in the forum chat room on Thursday evenings at 8:30 pm Eastern US Time.  Especially if you want interaction with some of your fellow artisans, and the site owners drop in also.

If you have any specific questions, please also feel free to contact me.  I am a jeweler and lapidary, but I have been here on the site for several years and sometimes I can actually answer a query.
