MarilynKelleyArt: after making some sketches for the pattern I start working on the lineart (these white or black lines you see on the scarf) which takes me about 2-3 hours. Then it needs to dry out (about 2 hours) . Painting takes about 6-10 hours, depending on the details. Then paint needs to dry out (it takes 24 hours), and then I fix paint on the silk (2 hours).... sooooo it's a long process but really rewarding one :D I simply love painting silk!oh, and heres another one :D you can find it on etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/125106329/silk-scarf-trees-in-blue-hand-painted?

I was going through some older posts and had decided to not go back so far, but your scarves are incredible!   I especially love the blue one.   Beautiful work!

Huh, it's been a while since I've last posted here! Still can't find time to do big stuff (like that promised big square scarf, but I will get to it...) but wanted to share with you a smaller scarves that I've recently made.
I was inspired by a very rainy day... and a some stanger with a lovely bright red umbrella. It was such a vibrant color in gray-blue-rainy landscape!

I experimented a bit with this silk painting: you can see a lot of brush strokes on the backgroud. Do you like it?

Here it is on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/157085704/silk-scarf-tulips-dark-blue-scarves-with?ref=shop_home_feat

yay, finnally I came back with a big square scarf (it's 25 x 25 inch, natural Italian silk) titled Wild Rose!
I've painted it last weekend, the time I've spent on the countryside. It was magical :)

Hope you'll like it! There's more pictures on my Etsy https://www.etsy.com/listing/158128265/square-silk-scarves-wild-rose-hand?ref=shop_home_active
This one is ready to go!

Black and white time! It was such a fun to paint - I didn't think I would like painting in monochrome so much! Very inspiring, very creative process for me. Hope you'll like it!

As always, you can find it on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/161867575/black-scarf-feathers-long-silk-scarf?ref=shop_home_feat

Wow, I have been in love with all your scarves.  You have outdone yourself with the monochromatic and the wonderful square one.

Thank you! :)

I wanted to ask you all a question - what do you think about learning from masters and masterpieces? I was asked to paint a Alphonse Mucha silk scarf - it was strongly inspired by his lovely 'Rose' picture. I  used his girl from the drawing and added flowers - transformed his gorgeous creation into a silk scarf design.
Hope you'll like it!

Hello :)

I wanted to share with you a silk scarf 'Unicorn' that I've made a while ago... I am wondering, does anybody here knows the beautiful Russian children story 'The Humpbacked Horse'? It was one of my favorites, with such beautiful pictures in Art-Nouveau style... but an East - European Art - Nouveau....

anyhow, here's the scarf inspired by magical horses from the story. I hope that you'll like it! As always, the scarf is on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/159503374/blue-silk-scarf-unicorn-silk-scarves?ref=shop_home_active
