[ON LIST] Coupons
« on: November 22, 2012, 10:29:20 PM »
I was setting up coupons and wanted to use the same wording for them in both of my  shops, but that doesn't seem to work.

I tried using blackfriday, in both shops and was given the message that it already exists.  So, I guess that means only one person on all of HAS can use a certain word and nobody else?
Since some of the coupons I create are for a specific time period and there isn't a way to control that, except for deleting it, if I want to use that wording again, I can't.    For me, it's a little frustrating.

For instance one of the codes I set up is rocknroll (just made that up) - that was for a certain weekend, (I haven't deleted it) - so basically it's still active - and if someone found an old post about it, they could go in and use it!  I don't want to delete it, because I would like to be able to use it again.
So, my questions are, is there a way we could set a time period on a coupon & then reactivate it? and could we be able to use a coupon that we or someone else has used?
I hope all that makes sense!

That does make sense and I hope we can get an answer from Josey fairly quickly.  I am not doing coupon for black Friday but wanted to do one for Cyber Monday.

I've been focusing on another aspect of the site and missed this, I do apologize if you were trying to reach me sooner.   I can understand your frustration and I can put it on the list, but I'm working really hard on a new feature for the site currently.

This is something that most definitely needs to be addressed.  If Andrew wants me to change directions I can do so. :) But until then, sadly this goes on the list.

I would stay the course Josey. This is an easy work around for now. We are talking coupon codes here. If one doesn't work, just add a number to it or something to change it slightly. Blackfriday1  or 2 or 3 etc.
