Hurricane Impact
« on: November 12, 2012, 02:18:31 PM »
As many of you know, we had a notice up on the front page of the shop letting potential customers know that some of our vendors, and us, are living in areas affected by Hurricane Sandy and that there could possibly be a delay in communication or shipping from those shops.  Now that the clean up is underway we are going to remove this notice.

However, there are still a lot of areas that are in terrible shape and in no way ready to deal with business.  If you are a vendor and live in one of these areas I would encourage you to please put up a notice on your shop page to let customers know your situation if you feel it will impact your ability to communicate with them regarding orders.

This is something that most should think about any time you have a life situation that impacts your business.  Customers are usually very understanding if you are honest with them up front but not so much if you are uncommunicative with them.

Thanks again everyone for your thoughts and prayers for the NorthEast and I ask that you keep them coming as it will be a very long haul to rebuild many of the areas hardest hit.
