Copper Ilkorin Sheet bracelet
« on: April 27, 2012, 02:07:50 PM »

Copper Ilkorin Sheet chainmaille bracelet.  Ilkorin Sheet is one of my own weaves and is very closely related to Elfsheet.

Gorgeous! Chainmaille fascinates me. It's so elegant and when it's well made, so fluid to the touch.

Thank you! It's a little bit intensive, took about 15 hours or so.

15 HOURS!  WOW!

OK, I don't have to worry about learning how to do chainmaille

Sure is beautiful !

Lol, 15 hours is actually pretty normal for me.  It's not at all uncommon for me to spend upwards of 25-30 hours on a piece.  I few years ago I made a chainmaille version of the Goa'uld hand-device from Stargate SG-1 and it took about 100 hours to make (and 100ft of wire).

Glad  I read your description as I was thinking that looks like elfsheet to me. Now I see the difference. I made one elfsheet piece and will never make another. So I do not see me making this weave any time soon LOL

Gorgeous! It looks complicated. I think I'll stick to the easy weaves for now.  :-\
