A Manic Agate & Fiberoptic Ring
« on: June 04, 2009, 04:45:06 PM »
This is a ring I made a while ago-it's made from simple beaded wirewrapped dangles on a black agate ring. I have more agate rings in black and white, maybe I'll make a few more sometime. Had my daughter test drive it for me and she thought it was pretty comfortable ;D

It consists of Czech glass, fiberoptic cat's eye, Hematite and silver plated components-on an agate ring.

I love that look! Does the band pass freely through the bead top? Hard to see how it's attached.

Yes-the dangles are attached with a jumpring to the agate ring and slides freely. Thanks guys ;D

That's a great idea! I made the ring quite a while ago, basically just messing around when I got the agate rings. A rubber ring would also probably be easier to attach the dangles to-thanks for the suggestion!  ;D

very nice,  One thing I really like about this forum is seeing all of the different color/bead/etc combinations.  I hadn't thought of pink &  black but it is very nice!!

To get the attachment ring to stay put you may consider using a rubber, EPDM or O-Ring as the attachment, it would enable you to attach your beaded dangles to it, and it would remain in place - theoretically on top of the agate ring.

this will only work if the agate ring is split ;D
