Some Manic Hair Clips
« on: May 31, 2009, 02:57:49 PM »
A couple more of my work-hair clips. Both are made with snap clips, glass pearls, Czech glass beads, silver plated components.

Thanks for looking! Both are now listed at http://www.manicbutterflyjewels.com/index.html

Suzanne:

What a clever idea.  I adore these.  What do you use to attach the beads to the clips?  congrats on making something both useful and beautiful.

You want to take an order for one of those in black and white?  I'll buy it if you'll make it!

Thanks guys! I used jumprings and wire, depending on where each part was being attached. Getting the dangles attached in the tight spots with jumprings drove me nuts, which is why I'm wondering if I could attempt chainmaille without having a nervous breakdown  :-\

Thanks Frann!

Wanted to also say there is only one of the heart shaped clips available, but I have a large quantity available of the regular sized clip, and many more colors of glass pearls, or whatever type of beads requested-many design possibilities!  :D

Manic Hair Clips!

Those are really pretty!

I did some beaded ones for my daughter when she got married- beaded flowers with long dangles - just about drove me nuts trying to figure out how to get everything attached and keep it in place!  I had bought a bunch of clips with the idea of making a bunch - but her's were the only ones I've made!   I make use of the clips anyway.

They would look really pretty in black and white too!  or black & silver

Very pretty!!!!  I love the style, the color, the butterfly everything.  I'll have to go back and look at the rest of your items.

Thank you everyone! Thanks Jeanne for bumping these. They're both on my site now, wish I'd have bought more of the heart shaped clip, only had one. They can be a pain to get all the dangles attached. I just went from long to short, then added the small silver dangles by themselves to fill it in.

You guys must have lots of patience to work with rings all the time.
