Unfortunately in our mass produced world of strip malls, what once was meant as "art" now means Sears  :-\

Whats wrong witht Galleria.....(smile).....
That word is known all over the world meaning the same thing....just sayin... ^-^

It makes my teeth grind.  It's a mall.  Malls = mass-produced crap.  And it doesn't help that Jared, the newish crap jewelry chain store, calls itself "the galleria of jewelry."  It's given me a serious aversion to the word.

Look:  http://www.jared.com/home%7C10451%7C10001%7C-1%7C19061
Lol...

My grandmother was from Vienna and no matter how long she lived in the States, there were certain things that she would say and do that were truly European and nothing would change that.  One of the things I loved most about her.

I like Treasure Trove, nice alliteration and conjurs up an image of a chest full of sparkly crafted wonders. (in my mind anyway)  :D

Sounds fine, Andrew.

Those of you who are not from the US - don't Americanize yourselves!  Don't even try.  I love different cultures, and I love that we're getting more & more here.

FYI, none of you has annoyed me.  If anything, the fact that mass-production stores and malls have appropriated the word and twisted it annoys me.

I am so happy it looks like it won't be Galleria.  It's like chalk on a blackboard for me as well. It makes me think of food courts.
