Congrats on those orders!!!

Today was awesome.  I spent most of the day in school.  My friend's mom is a special ed teacher, so she let me shadow her pre-school class.  And then in the afternoon, she brought me over to a special ed class of 2nd-4th graders.  It was really an awesome experience and I'll be back.  I had so much fun helping out with the kids, and it really gave me an idea of how the pros handle kids with multiple issues.

I'm so glad you saw how special it is to work with special needs children!  Nathaniel has oral apraxia so we have worked our way through the system since he was 3, he is 10 now and have seen all kinds of teachers.  Some are wonderful and loving and really see the potential and some are there for who knows what reason.  The biggest thing with special needs kids is to figure out how they learn best and work your lesson around that...well, that goes with any kid but those with special needs respond especially well.

Oh, man, yeah.  It's amazing how they work with each kid to fit.  And she told me about where some of the kids were in terms of development when they got there, so I can tell how far they've progressed.  It's amazing.  She really is a phenomenal teacher.  She'd honestly make an awesome clown too.

That is too far away!

Today I have to work and would love to finish a necklace I've been working on as well as a couple of glass pieces.  Boys are on spring break starting tomorrow so the next week should be something of a mess

Based on all the reviews, I really want to see Hunger Games.  Only I haven't read the books and kinda want to do that first.

I saw the movie first... I thought it was good!  As I was leaving the theatre I overheard a woman say she thought the book was better... (it usually is)
Now I am borrowing the books from a friends daughter...

The books are very detailed and the movies, understandably, had to cut a lot of that out.  I really liked the movie, but the books are definitely worth reading...though I thought the third book in the series got a bit cheesy trying to wrap up all the loose ends a bit.

I had the same problem!  As it was, I'd only have been there for a second; our friends got here faster than I thought they would.

I got my hair done this morning, did some work, went to UI to *finally* change my name with them (they still had me as Pelc), was *so* glad I brought my knitting with me because there's always a freakin' wait, cleaned up the house a bit, and then had friends over.  Over 2' of the next scarf done; stockinette is so much faster than anything else.
